Where the journey begins
Expeditions are not travel logs in the ordinary sense. They are studies in atmosphere: the cracked surface of a road, the silence of open land, the patina of age, the way a found object can hold an entire scene inside it.
For Zwengland, each journey becomes raw material for making. Landscapes inform glaze, rhythm informs mark-making, and fragments gathered along the way become part of a wider artist universe built around memory, music, and collectible form.
